How long will our wood market umbrella last?
We get this question as much as any. The easy answer is, it’s relative. If you put your market or wood patio umbrella out when you plan on using it and put it away when you’re not, our umbrella will give you years of satisfaction. If you set up your market umbrella and leave it up for a year (you’ll probably need a new umbrella soon). We carry replacement canvas to extend the life of our market umbrellas. Umbrellas must be opened and closed in the manner intended. Also closing and securing market or patio umbrellas on windy or stormy days is a MUST!

No Tilt?
Maybe you’re opposed to a wood umbrella because you want that wonderful patio umbrella tilt and you know most wooden umbrellas do not have a tilt function. Just weight the bottom with a stand or an outdoor umbrella table and enjoy the weather. Patio umbrella tables are recommended because you can have a snack or play cards on their surface. Caring For Your Umbrella
We treat all of our aluminum and wooden umbrella canvases with 3M Scotchgard. Even our white patio umbrellas resist stain as they stretch over your outdoor umbrella table. However, it is still important to care for an umbrella. Even though many canvases are water resistant, they are not water proof. Certainly they can survive a light to moderate rainstorm. However, leaving them outside all through winter is a bad idea. Snow will pile on top and cause water damage. Also, many types of fabric are said to resist fading. While this information is true, an owner can keep the bright colors even longer if they remember to put it away or use market umbrella covers to shield it from the elements when not in use. Our outdoor free standing umbrellas are designed to be easy to take down and put away. You’ll be out and back inside before the water in the pot on the stove starts to boil.
