This Patio umbrella is perfect for tables in the 36" - 42" range. Our 7.5' model features an easy lift up system. Asian hardwood, finished in a medium stain with lacquer applied for durability and ease of cleaning. Pole diameter is 1.5". Brass color pins and fittings add more class to this patio umbrella. Available in 10 colors with 8oz Polyester Canvas treated with 3M Scotchgard. We carry replacement canvas for our frames to extend the life of your market umbrella. This 7.5’ umbrella, like many of the models in our collection, is sculpted from authentic Asian hardwood. It has been finished with a medium stain and treated with lacquer for a marvelous shine. The lacquer also makes the pole easier to clean. This umbrella is held together with brass-colored pins to provide the classiest appearance possible.

Dimensions

With the eight ribs arranged to hold up the octagonal canvas, the tip of one rib to the tip of the opposite measures 87”. From the base of the pole to the top of the canvas, the umbrella measures 87”. While this height is slightly less than aluminum market umbrellas of the same advertised size, the canvas is wider (80” vs. 72”). The edge of the canvas in this model starts 70” from the ground as opposed to 76.” 

The Canvas

While aluminum umbrellas use fiberglass ribs, all parts of wood market umbrellas are wooden. The wooden ribs are very durable and hold up the canvas with ease. The canvas itself is 8oz polyester. It has been treated with 3M Scotchgard to help preserve its appearance. However, we also recommend taking thorough care of your umbrella and putting it into storage during harsher times of year. To assist with this process, each of our umbrellas comes with a combination umbrella cover and storage bag that matches your particular canvas. After the warranty has expired, you may experience water damage or fading and wish to purchase a replacement canvas.

Colors

This umbrella is available in ten different colors. While the colors are accurate to their name, their specific shade may be different than it is when displayed on your computer screen. This difference can be further affected by brightness and hue settings. White canvases are always true white, so for best representation adjust the colors accordingly.

Recommended Additions

In addition to replacement canvases, there are several items we recommend purchasing to get the most out of your 7.5’ wood market umbrellas. Each needs support. We recommend a 55lb stand for this size model. Alternately, if the umbrella is going to be placed in the center of an outdoor table, it is best if the table is at least 30lbs. Without the proper support, your elegant new umbrella is at risk of tipping over and getting damaged.

Wood vs. Aluminum

While we can guarantee the quality and durability of our wood market umbrellas, many customers may prefer the benefits of aluminum models. The ribs in an aluminum umbrella are typically made of fiberglass. The ribs (and therefore the canvas) are shorter, but they are also more wind-resistant. Perhaps the most noticeable difference is the weight. As aluminum umbrella poles are hollow, they tend to weigh up to 5lbs less than their wooden brethren. Finally, many aluminum models use a crank to open and close while wood market umbrellas stick with the standard pulley system.
